Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 24, 2026
1. Privacy Commitment
At Unrect, we prioritize creator privacy above all else. Unrect is designed from the ground up to operate on a local-first, privacy-respecting model. We do not sell your personal data, track your creative workflows, or harvest your private project files.
2. Local-First Processing
All vector calculations, raster image edits, and .unrect project files are processed directly inside your browser using client-side
engines.
- Your graphics assets and artwork remain on your machine unless you explicitly export or share them.
- We do not upload or store your project files on remote servers without your knowledge.
3. Data We Collect
Because Unrect is designed to run in your browser, data collection is kept to a minimal essential level:
- Technical Diagnostics: Anonymized error logs or basic performance metrics to help us fix crash bugs and optimize render speed.
- Voluntary Communications: Email address provided if you voluntarily subscribe to our product update newsletter.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
Unrect uses local browser storage (localStorage / IndexedDB) strictly to save your application preferences, recent canvas
states, and workspace settings locally on your computer. We do not
use invasive third-party tracking cookies.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures for any web assets served over HTTPS. Because your project files remain on your local storage, the primary responsibility for backing up your files rests with you.
6. Third-Party Services
Our landing site may contain links to external sites (such as GitHub or Instagram). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
7. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our application or changes in legal requirements. Any updates will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" timestamp.
